Himalayas

Himalayas (meaning “home of the snows”) is the highest and perhaps the best known mountain range in the world. It is located in southern Asia, north from India, between Tibetan Plateau and Nepal.

There are numerous massive mountains in Himalayas, actually over 30 peaks over 7500 meters high. Mount Everest naturally the highest one in the whole world, peaking at the unbelievable height of 8,850 meters (29,035 ft.).

Himalayan mountain range extends in an arc of about 2,400 kilometers (1,500 miles) from the northern Pakistan to east towards northern India, southern Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. Himalayas covers a surface area of about 595,000 square kilometers (230,000 square miles).

The challenging weather conditions and landscape of the Himalayas have made it the goal for many adventurers. Mount Everest in the ultimate challenge for ever growing number of people, but there are also other eight-thousanders like K2, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu. All of the world’s 14 eight-thousanders are situated in Himalaya’s mountain range.

Just being a part of the Himalayan landscape is an amazing experience and to trek in those landscapers is something you can’t experience anywhere else. Going after the peaks is another story which gets dangerous and demanding task at all aspects. Luckily you can just walk around the trails and enjoy the vast Himalayas which are unforgettable things to do to everyone.
